Introducing ARTis 3.0 – An optimised platform to manage your fertility centre

A New Beginning

Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work rebuilding ARTis from the ground up. This complete rewrite was designed to provide the agility needed to innovate, develop, and deliver new features and benefits to our customers more quickly.

Our journey began in October 2022 with a series of evaluations of different technical stacks, architectures, and tools. By November 2022, development was in full swing. We faced the dual challenge of being feature-complete with ARTis 2.0 while also incorporating additional UX improvements, new modules, enhancements to existing modules, and ensuring seamless data migration from 2.0 to 3.0. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience, filled with valuable lessons and insights that we look forward to sharing in future blog posts.

Key Decisions in Developing ARTis 3.0

  1. Tech Stack Selection: Choosing the right technology stack was crucial for building a robust and scalable product.
  2. Software Architecture: We opted for an architecture style that would support our long-term goals and provide the flexibility to innovate.
  3. Test Strategy: Developing a comprehensive test strategy ensured the product’s reliability and performance.
  4. Automation: We automated infrastructure provisioning, software installation, configuration, and deployment to streamline development and delivery.
  5. Data Migration Strategy: Designing a strategy to migrate data seamlessly from 2.0 to 3.0 was essential for a smooth transition.
  6. Enhancing Version 2.0: We continued to enhance ARTis 2.0 and integrated those changes into the new version.
  7. Third-Party Integrations: Building integrations with payment gateways, ERP and CRM systems expanded ARTis’s capabilities.
  8. Open API Development: We developed an open API to allow partners to integrate seamlessly with ARTis.
  9. Customer Data Migration: Migrating all existing customer data from 2.0 to 3.0 swiftly and accurately was a top priority.
  10. Onboarding Automation: Automating the onboarding process for new customers and branches with a single click improved efficiency.
